Here we are on our cruise…. there were 2 formal dinners and since Doug has owned a tux for about 15 yrs (which came in handy when Matt was going to proms last year and the year before), he decided to take it along. I’m standing behind him for obvious reasons – to hide bulges in that super tight size 14 "little black dress" I’ve had for a million years. It had just enough give in it to allow me to eat like a pig though so it was all good, LOL! 1cruise_41 OH, did I tell you what happened to me the final night of the cruise? As I sat down in bed to read (Doug was in the casino), I looked down at my hand and the center diamond of my wedding/engagement ring was gone! Poof – vanished! I crawled on my hands and knees in that stateroom for 2 hours (and, ugh, there are some dusty places that aren’t easily seen!). I was bummed but thanks to our wonderful State Farm insurance coverage, and though we have a hefty deductible, it is being replaced. I shipped it 400 miles to our original jeweler in Los Angeles, who sells in a wholesale market, and he’s going to upgrade it (yes, bigger!) for a dirt cheap price. Hooray!
