Are you familiar with the recently released movie Julie & Julia? It was inspired by Julie Powell's book whose full & fun title is Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen which I read when it came out September 2005 and whose blog I follow found here. Julie Powell, if you're not aware of her, basically decided to spice up her life (yes, pun intended) by cooking all the recipes, from beginning to end, of Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking within the span of one year while blogging daily about her doing so. She's hysterical and she did it – bless her sauteed and pickled heart!

Now, how does this relate to me? Well, I have an idea. Might be a bad one but it's sort of the quirky thing I would try to do. And I will not make myself crazy like Julie Powell did. I want to take each page of the 2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog (a publication of the company cofounded by Shelli Gardner – hence, the second part of my challenge name – Stella & Shelli) and share 1 project from each page (not each product but each page) and post it on this blog from now until as long as there are pages in this catalog (209 pages which is about 7 months but I'll put a cap on it of June 30 when this catalog expires). Will I post every day like Julie Powell? Like diet goals, I'd be setting myself up for failure if I said "oh, yes, I'll post every single day!". I won't but it'll be consistent and in catalog order.

Will every item be created by me? Nope. Some will and others won't. I have a resource from thousands of stampers and demonstrators from a variety of public sources and I'll be the filter that brings my or someone else's project (giving them full credit) to this blog in furtherance of my personal challenge.

So, welcome to my new year's personal challenge that I'm calling Stella & Shelli: 209 Pages, 6 Months, 1 Crazy Demonstrator in 1 Average House. I am tempted to change my name to Stelli… hmmmm.. Anyway, I hope you'll follow along! Hey, and feel free to jump ahead, create for my challenge and send me your 1 image via email that I might choose to share (if I get several, I'll have to scale it down). Wish me luck and please send me creative vibes!
