Stampin' Up! rolled out the red carpet for the group of its top demonstrators invited to Founder's Circle in St. George, Utah (there are about 130 of us here – we have the whole hotel to ourselves). So what else is new? They always do things with the height of class and style. After touching down in Las Vegas, Nevada in the morning, about 12 of us were whisked onto a bus for the 90-mile drive to St. George, Utah. My friend Patty was on a different bus that left just after mine but somehow they got ahead of us on the road and both of us were texting with landmarks to see who'd "win" and get there first. She won, LOL. Arrived at our hotel to SU! staff and our videgrapher awaiting us as we exited the bus. It was 3 PM and I think all of us raced to the lunch buffet as we were pretty hungry. That's where I first ran into so many old friends. Reuniting is the best part of these events for me.
I then went to my gorgeous room for a wee bit then right back down to the Gathering Place with Patty. The room was set up like a 50s diner in black, red and white. Candy in jars all over including handmade toffee that one of the stamp designers made – these folks can do anything!
They always have a get-to-know-you game and this one involved us all getting a sheer scarf in a particular color and we had to sit at dinner only with those who also had our color. Before that, though, when we came down for dinner later, we'd have to all check-in as a group and we'd get a prize. We did that and the prize was an upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog set called "You're a Gem". I can't download my photos as I forgot the cord (duh). Sorry.
While in the Gathering Place, which was set up in an adorable 50s diner theme, we got a chance to play "Plinko" (once per day) for prizes. I won a spool of Early Espresso 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (I love ribbon!).
At dinner, Shelli welcomed us with her typical grace and an admonition to rest and relax as these few days are all about us! Hmmm…. I think I'll do what Shelli says…….. sigh……..
But wait… so I go to my room to rest and call it a day and what does SU! do? Once again, surprises us with pillow gifts. Got back to my hotel room to a fabulous gift – the tools we need for our Make N Take while here: a new Occasions Mini Catalog set called "Create a Cupcake" (adorable!), an awesome new punch "Extra Large Build-A-Cupcake", 4 ink pads and a spool of 1 -1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Daffodil Delight. It was all contained in a white take-out container. Thanks Stampin' Up!
Sounds like so much fun! Rest, relax and enjoy yourself! I can’t wait to see the photos when you get home!
