Well, maybe not an extreme makeover but a makeover nonetheless…

My first trip alone shopping (in weeks) took me to my favorite thrift store in our area in a hunt for plates, vases, canisters… anything I could find to put our Spooky Things Decor Elements on. I took the sheet of Spooky Things (page 8 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday mini catalog) so I could hold it up to potential items to put them on to see if they fit.

Here's what the sheet looks like before I cut it up and adhered it:

To give perspective, the crow is 7" x 7 1/4".

So, for $8.50, I bought ALL this in some Halloween-ish colors. The green and orange plates are melamine (plastic). Everything else is ceramic or glass.

While watching college football just now (rah – the 3 teams we were rooting for won!) I adhered the vinyl decor elements to get this:

The Spooky Things comes in black or dark gray and is only $14.95 (set of 10 images- Item #120909 Black or Item #122296 Dark Gray). The thrift store items were $8.50. So, SIX darling Halloween decor pieces for $23.45, or $3.90 each.

Great for your own decor. Great for a teacher gift, coworker, family, the Halloween lover in your life, etc….
