My downline team and I participated in a fun swap where we each made 12 unique handmade paper crafts – one to open each of the "12 days of Christmas" beginning today. We were to wrap each gift and number it 1 through 12 so the recipient would have a gift each day for 12 days. And, we are not revealing our identity until the 12th gift!
Some of us chose to create two sets of 12 and swap with two others so I received 24 gifts that I will open beginning today through Christmas Eve.
I will share the 12 projects I made as well as the 24 gifts others on my team made for me. Some will include an instruction for how to make it and others will just be photos. I can't wait!
This is the gift I made for day #1. It's a gum gift box just for a fun way to give someone a pack of chewing gum or any other little treasure that might fit. The point was to make projects that are quick, easy and cute. I think this fits perfectly!
Easy instructions:
- Cut a 6" x 6" piece of Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP)
- Score at 1/2", 1" on both sides, turn 1/4 and score at 1 1/4", 1 3/4", 4 & 4 1/2"
- Fold on score lines, cut out DSP on 1" score line to 2nd score line from each end (all four corners are cut out)
- Round corners on remaining 1" flaps
- Adhere Sticky Strip on inside edge of front/bottom flap of box from the edge to the first score line
- Place gum in box and stick front/bottom flaps folded around gum box
- Contrasting card stock: 4" x 1 3/4", punch one edge with your favorite border punch
- Adhere card stock to inside of top/front
- On outside, punch sentiment of your choice and adhere to top flap using Sticky Strip
- Adhere sticky round Velcro dots or squares to insde of front flap and box to close
Come back tomorrow for another idea plus I'll be popping the gifts I receive onto here as I open them.
