I LOVE this leaf image from "Wonderfall" in the brand new Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog that just went live yesterday.

I tweaked a card designed by fellow demonstrator Chat Wzelaki. That's what's so cool about our catalog or seeing what others are creating… you can borrow ideas and put your own flavor on them! {just be sure to give the person you're copying some credit ;-)} Thanks Chat!

Dimensions & basic steps
  • From the bottom up, here are the sizes of each card stock:
    • Crumb Cake 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
    • Whisper White 4" x 5 1/4"
    • Summer Starfruit 3 3/4" x 5"
    • Core'dination or DSP 1 1/2" x 5"
    • Whisper White 1 1/4" x 3 1/2"
    • Crumb Cake 3 " x 3 1/2"
    • Whisper White 2 3/4" x 3 1/4"
    • Crumb Cake scrap that you will punch 1 3/8" Circle out of later
    • Whisper White scrap that you will punch 1 1/4" Circle out of later
  •  Use Corner Rounder on left sides only of White then Starfruit and adhere the 2 layers to the Crumb Cake card
  • Cut Core'dination or DSP into a ribbon/pennant (easy if you snip in the center of the end at 3/4" of the 1 1/2" end and up 1" or so into the center. Then cut from each edge to that snip to create a pennant )
  • Run Core'dinations piece through Big Shot using your fav Embossing Folder. I used Chevron then I used the sanding block to distress it where I embossed it
  • Tie ribbon around flat end of pennant
  • Stamp leaf image on White using Soft Suede and Summer Starfruit ink or markers. Stamp Starfruit first then wet edges in Soft Suede blending it in with Sponge Dauber or your finger. Or use markers for the same effect. Sponge Soft Suede on the white piece then adhere it to the Crumb Cake layer.
  • Stamp sentiment in Soft Suede on scrap and punch out with 1 1/4" Circle
  • Adhere circle to scrap of Crumb Cake and punch out using 1 3/8" Circle
  • Use Adorning Accents (Scallop Edge) Edgelit on White card stock then use Adorning Accents Scallop Edge Embossing Folder
  • Tie Linen Thread onto button. Assemble the card using photo as your guide (I used Dimensionals for the Core'dinations piece then, again on the main piece to give it a bunch more pop)
  • Now write a note in it and mail it!
