While watching "Shakespeare in Love" today, I made two super fast cards for two different coworkers. One had a miscarriage and is having a tough time. Her daughter’s name is "Faith" so I’m going to write something inside as sort of a play on words and ask her to "keep Faith".
The other card is for a coworker who had her first child, a boy, on Valentine’s Day. His name is "Peter Jake" and he’ll go by "PJ". I went to Michael’s today after my younger two children and I saw "Eragon" in the theater. I used my 50% off President’s Day coupon and bought my 1st Cuttlebug alphabet: "Olivia". I love the font! I cut out the letters to make the baby’s name.
I am often in a pinch for time and love a plain white background (the cards are those ones sold at Michael’s in packs). It’s very inspiring to see multi-layer and super embellished cards when I receive them. However, my time is limited and so I sometimes crank out very basic cards like these. To me, they hold no less feeling than if they had a bunch more "stuff" on them. I know my recipients will love them!
SU’s Sell-A-Bration is winding down and ends Feb. 26. Keep in mind that the Winter Mini ends at the same time. Why not double up and get those special sets out of the Winter Mini while earning free SAB sets? That’s what I did. Hurry before it’s too late!
In March, SU is having a promotion called "Spring Fever".
