I guess something good comes of something "bad". The "bad" is that I did a bonehead thing. I ordered two Bigz XL dies (Sneak Peek items I just received 2 days ago), I decide to reward myself for getting my catalogs shipped so fast with an evening of Big Shot card making with those Sneak Peek dies, I lay it all out on the coffee table in front of the TV so I can create while glued to CNN's coverage of Michael Jackson's passing, I get the new "Pop-Up Look Here" die out, lay my card stock on it then, hmmm, this is too long for the Cutting Pad I have. The lightbulb goes on – – duh, I ordered the dies but not the Extended Cutting Pad for super long dies! Such a dork. So….. Plan B. And, yes, I have now ordered them. Oh, and the "good" that comes after "bad" is that I got to play with other Dies and had a blast!

Plan B is to play with other dies BUT to only use the new size of Textured In Color card stock. I love that it's now also available in 8 1/2 x 11. Plus I used several pieces out of the new Designer Series Paper "Razzleberry Lemonade." That particular paper features the colors Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie. I used all 3 In Colors plus a Corduroy Button in Pumpkin Pie. I got all the colors in there! Before each photo, I'll talk about products I used in addition to the card stock and paper since I've already mentioned those.

Card #1 = "Peace" using the Bigz "Top Note" Die, the Decorative Strip "Join in the Cheer" Die, Sizzlit "Daisy Flower" and a Pumpkin Pie Corduroy Button. I cut out "Peace" twice – once in Crushed Curry and layered on top of "Peace" in Melon Mambo. If you know me, you know I love simple cards. This photo is brighter than the real thing which is much richer in real life.
Peace

Card #2 = "Cheer" using Decorative Strip "Join in the Cheer" Die, Bigz "Frame Oval Scallop" Die, Scallop Edge Punch and a leftover snippet of the new "1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon" in Rich Razzleberry.
Cheer

Card #3 = "Joy". Again, using Decorative Strip "Join in the Cheer" Die, Bigz "Top Note" Die, Bigz "Frame Oval Scallop" Die, & "1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon" in Rich Razzleberry.

The unique thing about this card, if you can see it in the photo, is that the Top Note is a cut-out/window and not the Designer Series Paper on top of the Rich Razzleberry Textured Card Stock. The Designer Series Paper is behind it peeking through the window. When I punched out the Top Note piece for Card #1 above, this is what I had left so I turned the "hole" into a window! If you plan ahead, you can use every scrap of card stock.
Joy

And now to clean up the mess made while creating since I have to get two children to a swim meet tomorrow/Saturday BY 7 AM. Shuddder…. ugh…. but it's a Saturday, whine, whimper! Yup, I'm taking a book. I'm on the 3rd Harry Potter book. I am one of the rare people on the face of this planet who watched her family read and re-read all the books but I never read any. We'd go to every movie on opening day, often on the same day as my Nov. birthday but I never read the books. It's so ironic because I am a voracious reader. Go figure. Anyway, I made it my goal to read them all before the next movie comes out July 15. I better get crackin'!!
