As you read this, I am on my way to Las Vegas then a 2-hour shuttle to St. George, Utah where the top 125 demonstrators in the US and Canada are gathering for some much needed (and I'd like to think deserved!) pampering and girly time with one another. Stampin' Up! and the corporate co-founder and CEO, Shelli Gardner, pull out all the stops and treats us all like royalty. It's impossible to explain how generous this company is or how appreciated I feel while I'm at an event like this. This is the 4th such event I've earned but only the 2nd I have been able to attend. Once I finally got to go (work prohibited me from attending the first two years), I vowed to never miss it again!
We are asked to bring 125 card fronts to swap during a pajama party. I have to say that this effort turned out to be comical for me. What I started with and how I ended are not the same. I ran out of everything. I changed ribbon 5 times! I just kept using what I had and what reasonably coordinated. But the good news is, I ran out of 4 ribbons and, gee, I guess I just have to shop and buy some more from and for myself!
The main ingredients are: Lattice Bigz Die, Oval All stamp set, Bermuda Bay card stock and textured card stock, ditto regarding Soft Suede plus three punches: Wide Oval, Scallop Edge and Scallop Oval. I used two different Designer Series Paper patterns – Flock Together and Bella Bleu.
And when every shred of Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede were all gone, I went to this theme for the final 6 that I needed. I customized one envelope as I made an extra and am sending it to a special gal. All I did for the envelope was adhered a piece of Designer Series Paper to the back of the SU envelope then trimmed. Voila – matching envie!
Stampin' Up! products used: Crushed Curry textured card stock, Real Red, Whisper White, and Basic Black card stock, same punches as above, Crushed Curry 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon and Jackpot Designer Series Paper.
