I vowed to increase my stamping this year and I started by signing up for a swap among my Stampers for Others team. Here's my first contribution with recipe and instructions below:
It's much more 3-D in person. The middle piece with the little hearts on it is on there using Stampin' Dimensionals though you can't see it. And the color is more vivid in "real life". But there ya have it. I really enjoyed creating mostly with Designer Series Paper.
This card was inspired by a similar card created by a demonstrator named Anne Marie Hile (gotta give credit where credit is due… when I can remember, LOL!)
Stamps: With All My Heart (front sentiment), Friends 24-7 (on front oval punch)
Inks: Real Red Craft ink and Basic Gray Classic ink
Papers: Basic Gray, Real Red and Whisper White card stock, Red Glimmer Paper (Occasions) and Love Impressions Specialty Designer Series Paper (Occasions)
Accessories: Clear Embossing powder, Modern Label Punch, 2 x 1 3/8" XL Oval punch, Decorative Label Punch, Heart Small punch, Real Red 5/8" Satin ribbon
Dimensions of card stock pieces starting from the "bottom" up:
· Base = 11 x 4.25 folded in half with fold on left (card horizontal) – card will be 5.5 x 4.25
· Layer 1 (red) = 5.25 x 4
· Layer 2 (white) = 5 x 3.75
· Layer 3 (DSP) = 4.75 x 3.5
Once assembled, I then sewed a white stitch around all edges using my sewing machine.
· Base of focal point (red) = 4 x 3
· Layer 1 (gray) = 3.75 x 2.75
· Layer 2 (DSP) = 3.5 x 2.5 cut in ½ then take two different halves and make one whole
Oh my goodness, I love it! The DSP looks fabulous and I really like the double layering of the Modern Label Punch. (I think you have convinced me that I need that DSP now, too! Lol) The stitching is a fun detail, too. Very pretty! Thanks so much for the shout out, that was very sweet! Have a great day! 🙂
I loved your card too!!! I sent it to my BFF cause it was so nice. I wanted to HOARD it so bad but decided to send some love…Thanks for participating in the swap!
ps i need to learn how to tie that bow!
Kat, the bow was easy peasy! It’s separate from the flat ribbon. I can show you how next time we meet 🙂
