My color challenge card features all but one (Lost Lagoon) of the color options available in this month's challenge. You do not have to be an expert in watercolor to color one of our Stampin' Up! outline images. In fact, it is quite easy. The beauty of watercolor is that it looks best when it's not precise and perfect. The "room for error" component of this allows for all levels of experience while coloring.
In a nutshell, as you need to hop along quickly, is that I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on our watercolor paper. I then used an Aqua Painter to lift color from pooled ink on the inside top of my ink pad and I painted the colors on. A little heavier in the center of the flower and more diluted on the outer edges. Whatever works!
Note that this stamp set, Best Thoughts, is a Stampin' Rewards exclusive. You may only earn it if your order is $150 or more. It's only available until May 31. Get it while you can!
I paper-pierced, freehand, around the flower's outer edge to add one more element of dimension. I made 6 of these cards in no time flat. See below for the list of products used.
I used the flash to show you the Wink of Stella brushed onto the flower and how it glimmers in person.
