A RECOMMENDATION FROM STAMPIN’ UP! REGARDING OLD VS NEW INK PADS AND REFILLS
Lots of things undergo chemical changes – flowers in a vase; milk in the fridge; spices hidden away in the pantry. Stampin’ Up! ink pads and inks are no different and contain chemicals that change over time. For this reason, it’s best not to use your old pads with new Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills—or new pads with old refills. The ink and pads aren’t defective, but as time passes, chemical changes may take place which could produce a less than satisfactory result. In addition, older ink formulas mingled with new ink formulas could result in a sub-standard stamping experience.
Ink pads aren’t made to last for a lifetime, and chemical and environmental factors will inevitably cause changes—so please pair fresh pads with fresh ink refills! Ideally, try to purchase both at the same time, as occasionally even current ink formulas need to be refreshed due to such factors as supplier changes or raw material availability. We want you to really enjoy these terrific, vibrant colors to the fullest.
